Lerato Kganyago – Branding

The Challenge:

Lerato Kganyago is a South African actress, model, DJ, and media personality and is also known as the Queen of Soweto having won Miss Soweto 2002. In late 2022, her management saw the opportunity to stretch her tentacles to new global territories, starting off with the United States. Management reached Dervan to facilitate and potentially manage Lerato’s overseas projects in the United States.

The Solution:

This project was just as challenging, as it was exciting and out-of-the-usual navigating new territories in the music and entertainment scene. The demands of Dervan Solutions included revamping Lerato’s digital brand touch points besides her social media page; ie, website development, content strategy, visual presentation; media kit repackaging, marketing communications, and design. And also tour facilitation.

Result:

Within a record time, strategy and marketing comms had already been drafted for massive roll-out to which we received massive feedback. Our branding team designed an image of strength yet friendly and welcoming—three foundational values that underpin media and entertainment careers.
